Ubuntu don't live here no More

There was a time when we believed in ubuntu, when every black person believed and supported their fellow man, well, then we had nothing.

We didn't have freedom, success was a bombastic term greatly used by the white elite. They owned and controlled all the resources, we too were just that; A Resource. If you made it big in those times you would be the head slave or you had to sell your own brother as a spy to eat at the white man's table.

In the slums, black trash dumps created by the white oppressor you lived with your nothing, you lived with your less than nothing. You survived and thawed on because in that nothing you had so much. In those slums lived UBUNTU.

There lived the love for your black brother, there lived support and their lived hope. Hope for a better life, hope for freedom and even when alluta raged on you held on to that hope. Your brother represented that hope, that will to survive against all odds. You backed him all the way because you had faith in black. We owned UBUNTU and the white man didn't, it was something we could call our own. We held on to it and finally liberation came.

You hold a piece of the power now, you have tangibles now, but you have lost your brother, sister. You don't recognise him because the eye is blinded by the realisation of success, your brother lies trodden beneath the footsteps of ambition. Ubuntu you left in the slums along with you brother. You no longer know black beacuse the white man sits at your table now. In his presence you discredit that very black man who's logic brought you liberation and wealth.

BLACK MAN YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. Without your your brother, YOU, in essence have NOTHING. You made it this far riding on his back.

I'm not saying hate your white counterpart, but don't love him at the expense of you black brother. His struggle is no different than yours. Black knows your struggle. Alluta Continua. On you way to the top take him with you.
